Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway
Siān has made visits to the R&ER in 1976, 1981, 1994, 1997, 2000 and 2001. The Siān Project Group's workshop is also in Ravenglass but not on the R&ER site. This means that saying Siān is in Ravenglass does not necessarily imply she is running on the R&ER. In 1976 she proved that smaller engines could be useful on the Ratty by rescuing a full train with it's failed loco. She was referred to as "running like a sewing machine", a condition which we have eventually restored her to.
< Siān takes water at Ravenglass in April 2000. The boiler only arrived a few days before, so it was a remarkable feat that Siān was up and running for the May Bank Holiday weekend. She is seen here with new features such as a builder's plate, splashers and a shorter smokebox although the KLR crests are still on the tender sides. (Stan Buck)

< Siān visited the R&ER in 1976 and 1981. She is seen here on the first of those occasions hauling a six coach train. (Stan Buck)
^ Siān approaches Beckfoot with her first train since the rebuild, April 27th 2000. (Stan Buck)
\/ Back in 1997, Siān appeared at the Ratty May Bank Gala. This was after a winter of cosmetic improvements, removing the large cab and about 4 inches off the width! She is shown here at Dalegarth prior to lining out. (Owen Ryder)
